BESH provided civil engineering and surveying services to annex, rezone, design and permit a 18.5 acre site for construction of a 65,000 SF Publix Plaza and four (4) outparcels. The scope of work included boundary, topographic and route surveys, utility coordination and final engineering site plan. Permitting with SJRWMD, FDEP, City of Tavares, FDOT and Lake County was handled through BESH as well as the bid documents and construction administration.
BESH was hired to design, permit and oversee site construction for this 89,805 square foot Kohl’s shopping plaza and Bank out parcel situated on 10 acres in Tavares, FL. This project included coordination of access with FDOT from US HWY 441, water and wastewater infrastructure and stormwater collection and treatment system. This project was LEED certified.
The South Lake Memorial Hospital was a multiple phase project for BESH working as a sub consultant for two architectural firms. The first phase was design and permitting of a 200 bed Hospital with helipad, emergency vehicle access, private doctors parking and entry road. Phase two was the addition of the Women’s Center wing to the Hospital and expansion of the south parking lot. And phase three is a 2-story medical office building for Doctors to lease space next to the hospital for their private practices and includes a covered walkway from the second floor to the hospital.
Duane Booth with BESH has been master planning and designing various projects for the Christian Home and Bible School over the past 16 years. Projects include the designs for Marie Wright Elementary School building, bus parking, reconstruction of Mc Donald Drive, Cottages & Dorms, and most recently Master Planning for the new Football/Soccer/Track stadium.
First Park Industrial is the first phase of a three phase project located within the Lake County Industrial Park. This first phase consists of a 500,000 square foot shipping and receiving facility on approximately 45 acres of rolling hills. The site layout gives truck access completely around the building with space for offices in each corner so that space could be leased to four different businesses. BESH was responsible for surveying, site layout, preparation of construction documents and permitting.
This Publix shopping center is located at the northeast corner of US 27 and Hartwood Marsh Road in south Clermont. This project included a 52,000 SF Publix anchor, 28,000 SF of retail shop space and 4 out parcels on 16 acres. BESH’s role was to work with the Publix prototype footprint and come up with a concept layout for approval with Publix, City of Clermont and the Owner. Once the concept plan was approved, BESH proceeded with development of construction plans, permitting, bidding of site related activities, performed construction inspections services and certification of completion for project close out.
BESH has been involved with First Baptist Church of Umatilla since 2000 when they realized their growth was far beyond their capability to expand at their existing facilities. Mr. Booth assisted the Church with identifying properties large enough to accommodate Church growth, master planning the facilities and designing the Phase 1 building consisting of a 700 seat multipurpose auditorium with classroom space surrounding along with associated parking, utility infrastructure and stormwater management system. BESH later donated design and permitting services for the construction of the Buck Collins memorial softball field. And currently, BESH is working on Phase 2 expansion of facilities which will serve as a day care and classroom space.
Lost Lake Reserve Office Complex is located within the Lost Lake Reserve DRI commercial corridor along US Hwy 27 in south Clermont. The project consists of 10 buildings with 50,000 SF of professional office space located on six acres of land. BESH services included boundary and topographic survey, conceptual layout for preliminary approval with Owner and City of Clermont, final construction drawings, permitting, construction management services and certification of completion to Local and State agencies.
Marion Center is a 400+ acre commercial and industrial planned development with seven commercial tracts varying in size, from 15 acres to 32 acres. The project consisted of design and permitting of 2,830 feet of four lane divided roadway, 2,300 feet of two lane roadway, 1.25 miles of gravity sewer and force mains, 1.1 miles of 12” water mains, master stormwater management system and storm infrastructure for the build out of the entire project and intersection and turn lane improvements on SR 200 and CR 484. This project was accelerated with a strict deadline due to sale and construction of a large central parcel to Wal-Mart. Project was completed ahead of schedule.
