Water Treatment Plants #1, #2, #3, & #4

Booth, Ern, Straughan & Hiott, Inc., wrote the Facilities Plan for the State Revolving Fund (SRF) Loan for the funding of this project. Additional scope of work included final design, preparation of construction plans, permitting and construction management for upgrades to Water Treatment Plants No. 1, 2, 3 & 4. Upgrades to WTP #1 consist of modifications to the SCADA system, upgrades to the remote monitoring systems, and miscellaneous O & M improvements. Upgrades to WTP #2 and #3 consist of installation of VFD controls on new well pumps, enabling the plants to pump directly into the pressurized distribution system, since these existing facilities have no onsite storage. New flow paced chlorination and fluoridation equipment will also be added at these facilities. In addition, the aging elevated storage tank at WTP #2 will be removed from service. The improvements at WTP #4 consist of the installation of a new 1.0 MG ground storage tank with cascade tray aerators, a new 2,000 gpm well pump, new chlorination and fluoridation systems, and a new VFD controlled high service pump. Upgrades to the instrumentation and controls systems at all facilities are included in the proposed upgrades.
