Kings Ridge – Development of Regional Impact

Kings Ridge is a Development of Regional Impact (DRI) that was started in 1994 located south of Clermont in Lake County.  After Phase 1 was completed, it was annexed into the City of Clermont.  Duane Booth and BESH have been the Engineers and Surveyors of record for this project since its inception and have overseen the master planning, design, permitting and development.  This project consists of 1,843 acres, 4,337 single family residential units, 300,000 square feet of commercial and professional office space, 54 holes of golf, 3 community club houses, 4 pools and over 40 miles of internal roadways.  Being a DRI, this project was required to make certain off site improvements which included construction of 1.5 miles of Hancock Road, intersection improvements at US 27 & SR 50, intersection improvements and signal at Hartwood Marsh Rd. & US 27, and 2.0 miles of off-site water, sanitary sewer and reuse water capital improvements, 1.5 miles of capital 30” force main and 3 triplex 88Hp lift stations.
