This project is a design-build of a 12 foot paved, multi-use trail approximately 6 miles in length on the Cross Florida Greenway. This is a FDOT LAP project in conjunction with Marion County.
BESH’s scope of responsibility includes survey, design, permitting, construction administration and quality control. 100% design plans are completed and project began construction the third week in April, 2017. Design elements include tunnel design under CR 484, temporary bypass road CR 484, coordinating with all environmental issues (gopher tortoises, sand skinks, scrub jays, etc.), utilizing the existing lime rock road for the trail, where feasible, to maintain cost control and addressing safety issues at trail crossings with proper signage and flush curbs.
